A New Web App Dedicated to Saint Joseph Allamano Is Launched

Faith, history, and digital innovation. Web App Dedicated to Saint Joseph Allamano

Faith, history, and digital innovation. Developed in collaboration with Mediacor, the new tool revisits the figure of the Founder on the occasion of the centenary year of his death, on the eve of the Feast of the Consolata on June 20.

Charismatic tradition and the languages of the future meet online. The Consolata Missionary Institute and the Consolata Missions Foundation ETS announce the official launch of the new web app, accessible at allamano.consolata.eu, an interactive platform designed to present the figure, the work, and the enduring relevance of their Founder, Saint Joseph Allamano (canonized on October 20, 2024), in a dynamic, in-depth, and accessible way.

The release of this innovative tool comes at a moment of profound significance for the Consolata family, as we celebrate the centenary of the Founder’s birth into heaven (1916–2026). Furthermore, the launch anticipates the solemn Feast of the Consolata on June 20, an occasion that touches the beating heart of the Consolata Missionary Institute. Allamano, in fact, always pointed to and venerated the Virgin Consolata not merely as a Patron, but as the “true Foundress” and the invisible inspirer of every work and missionary departure.

The Structure of the Web App: Three Sections

The web app stands out for its fluid, visual, and deeply intuitive interface, organized into three main sections that guide the user on a journey of discovery of the Piedmontese saint:

1. The Places: a journey in 13 stages through the most significant locations in Allamano’s life, accompanied by the voice of actor Danilo Bruni, who portrays the Founder. From Castelnuovo to Turin, from Rivoli to the Sanctuary of Sant’Ignazio, visitors will discover the heart of his spirituality and his humanity.

2. The Exhibition Spaces: a guide to accompany visits to Casa Allamano and Casa Cafasso.

3. In-Depth Features: a collection of thematic videos offering a structured journey through his biography, his holiness, the congregation (sons and daughters), the mission, and his spirituality.

Key Strengths of the Platform

Accessibility and Mobile-First Navigation: Designed to be accessed instantly from any device without the need for downloads, ensuring an agile and engaging user experience.

– Narrative Multimedia Approach: The integration of historical documents, archival images, and visual content transforms the traditional biography into a living and engaging story.

– International and Multilingual Dimension: Reflecting the universal soul of the Institute, the web app is fully available in four languages (Italian, English, Spanish, and Portuguese), enabling connection across local communities in Europe, Africa, the Americas, and Asia.

The Partnership with Mediacor

The creation of the web app represents a new and important milestone in the strong collaboration with Mediacor. The Turin-based company, specializing in institutional communication and multimedia installations for the ecclesial and cultural world, has accompanied the Institute and the Foundation step by step in the conceptual, content-related, and technological design of the platform. This partnership has already borne extraordinary fruit in the region, including the CAM (Cultures and Mission) Cultural Hub in Turin, the innovative immersive installations at “Casa Allamano” and “Casa Cafasso” in Castelnuovo Don Bosco, and the enhancement of the Founder’s personal items in the “Sala Allamano” at the Mother House — confirming Mediacor as a strategic partner in translating the historical and spiritual heritage of the Consolata into the languages of the contemporary world.
