“In this three-year period in which we are invited to experience in a very special way the presence of St. Joseph Allamano in our lives, we wish to invite you during this year in preparation for the Centenary of his death (February 16, 2026), to pause and listen to his voice, and live what he has always taught us.”
These are the words of Father James Lengarin, IMC, Superior General and Sister Lucia Bortolomasi, MC, Superior General, in their Message on the occasion of the Foundation Feast celebrated on January 29, 2025, when the entire Consolata Missionary Family in the world began preparation for the Centenary of his birth into heaven.
The two General Councils have appointed a team to animate this journey of deepening on the holiness of St. Joseph Allamano. The Commission is composed of: Fr. Piero Trabucco, IMC, Sr. Cecilia Pedroza Saavedra, MC (Castelnuovo Don Bosco), and Mr. Rui Antunes Sousa, LMC Portugal.
The team will prepare a monthly reflection throughout the year until February 2026 that can be used as a guideline for retreats or other moments of personal and community prayer.
