The Novena to St. Joseph Allamano begins on February 7 and ends on February 15, the day before he ascended to heaven in 1926. This year marks the first time we celebrate the liturgical feast of the Founder of the Consolata Missionaries, Fathers-Brothers-Sisters, after his canonization, which took place on October 20, 2024.
We also like to remember that it was on February 7, 1996, in Catrimani (the Brazilian Amazon forest), that the jaguar attack on Sorino Yanomami occurred, followed by his miraculous healing thanks to the fervent invocation of our holy Founder.
With his feast (February 16, 2025), we will also begin the year of preparation for the Centenary of his death (February 16, 2026), a journey of deepening our understanding of holiness, a time to pause, listen to his voice, and live out what he taught us.
By praying this Novena, we learn from the examples of his life, asking for his intercession.
