Only a few days remain until the celebration of the Centenary of the birth into heaven of Saint Joseph Allamano, founder of the Consolata Missionaries Family, Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, on February 16, 2026.
As the Consolata family, we have undertaken an intense journey of preparation for this significant event through celebrations, spiritual gatherings, moments of reflection, and monthly in-depth sessions on the holiness of our Founder, as well as the production of thematic video clips that sought to highlight the historical places linked to the Holy Founder, such as the Motherhouse in Turin and his Birthplace in Castelnuovo Don Bosco.
Recently, we had the opportunity to take part in the Virtual Pilgrimage to the places of Saint Joseph Allamano, and we are currently celebrating the Centenary Novena entitled “Allamano, Pilgrim of Consolation.”
There are also numerous initiatives organized by the members of the Consolata missionary family around the world together with their various local communities.
In the coming days, we will celebrate the centenary with several initiatives and celebrations that can be followed via livestream:
February 14: Study Day “Holiness Is moving beyond” at the IMC Generalate in Rome, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the participation of Msgr. Giovanni Crippa, IMC, Bishop of Ilhéus–Bahia (Brazil) (joining online), and journalist Alberto Chiara, author of the book “Beyond. Life and Mission of Saint Joseph Allamano” (Effatà Editions), the new biography of the Piedmontese saint (https://youtu.be/8UqXGnNiRx4)

February 16: Eucharistic Celebration at 6:00 p.m. at the Shrine of the Consolata in Turin (https://youtu.be/E-Z1APaUpyA)

Let us unite in giving thanks to the Lord for the gift of our Founder Father. Let us pray that this may be a year of grace for each and every one of us.
Message from the Two General Directorates IMC–MC
We also make available the letter from the two General Councils IMC–MC, published on February 3, 2026.
“The Celebration of the Centenary encourages us to draw ever more deeply from the richness of the Founder’s holiness and to live our Charism in depth, which weaves together holiness and mission in the spirit of Consolation,” says an excerpt from the message.
