\u201cOne day, talking to the Consolata Missionary Sisters, St. Joseph Allamano concluded: \u2018I tell you that my greatest consolation is that I have always done the will of God.\u2019 <\/em>On another occasion, explaining to the students why he had dismissed a coadjutor who had not obeyed, he said: \u2018But nothing falls without the will or permission of God… For this reason, I prayed in these Exercises that the Lord would give me not only conformity to his will, but uniformity, and I said: I do not want my will to be done here, but only the will of God.\u2019 <\/em>Doing God’s will was for Allamano the secret to becoming a saint, in order to meet God and to fully realize his missionary vocation\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

This quote is taken from the sixth meditation on the journey of preparation for the Centenary of the birth into heaven of Saint Giuseppe Allamano (16 February 2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTrusting in God’s will often means facing the mystery of silent pruning which, although painful, prepares in us new and more abundant fruits. Like the tree that, even wounded, is reborn with renewed vigor, we are called to welcome the \u201cpruning\u201d of life as expression of the merciful love of God, who always wants our good and our sanctification\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first reflection in March invited us to meditate on \u201cHoliness and God Alone.\u201d In April, in the second meditation we reflected on \u201cHoliness and the Eucharistic Dimension of Life.\u201d  \u201cHoliness and the spirit of prayer\u2019 was the theme of the third meditation in May. The fourth reflection in June was entitled \u201cLa Consolata, a living presence in our journey of holiness\u201d. In July the theme was \u201cHoliness and Hope\u2019. Now we publish the sixth meditation entitled \u201cHoliness and God’s will\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
