Fidelity to the Lord is the source of meaning for missionary life, even amidst difficulties and tribulations. It is the love of Christ that sustains and brings forth hope.

Synodal Communion as a Path of Hope

It was emphasized that mission can only be fruitful in communion. Division weakens the Church, and missionaries are called to be witnesses of hope, living synodality as a style of life and mission.

Walking Together with the Church in Hope

Religious life needs to be integrated into the concrete reality of our brothers and sisters. The call to conversion is also an appeal to community living and sharing life. Hope is built in community, for we are saved together.

Mission Amidst Challenges and Joys

Evangelization requires going through trials. However, the missionary’s strength is born from the cross and resurrection. The true joy of mission is the result of difficulties overcome with faith. Christian hope is rooted in the certainty that the cross leads to life.

At the end of the retreat, the missionaries expressed gratitude for this time of spiritual renewal, recognizing the importance of keeping the flame of hope alive in the face of current missionary challenges. “Christ is the true missionary of hope. And we, his disciples, are called to continue his mission, being bearers of this hope in the places where we serve,” highlighted the preacher, Fr. Inácio Mole.

With the retreat concluded, the missionaries will continue the work of the Regional Assembly, which will proceed with moments of sharing, evaluation, and planning.
