{"id":291,"date":"2022-09-16T08:09:22","date_gmt":"2022-09-16T08:09:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consolataafrica.org\/en\/?p=291"},"modified":"2022-09-22T17:05:40","modified_gmt":"2022-09-22T17:05:40","slug":"kenya-uganda-regional-superior-of-consolata-missionaries-retains-office","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consolataafrica.org\/en\/kenya-uganda-regional-superior-of-consolata-missionaries-retains-office\/","title":{"rendered":"KENYA\/UGANDA REGIONAL SUPERIOR OF CONSOLATA MISSIONARIES RETAINS OFFICE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rev Fr Peter Makau Munguti IMC, has been appointed for another three years as the Regional Superior for the Consolata Missionaries Kenya-Uganda Region on June 8, in a decree by the Superior General of the Consolata Mission Institute, Rev Fr Stefano Camerlengo, IMC, and subsequently took an oath of office on June 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"680\" src=\"https:\/\/consolataafrica.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/DSC_0281-1024x680.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-294\" srcset=\"https:\/\/consolataafrica.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/DSC_0281-1024x680.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/consolataafrica.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/DSC_0281-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/consolataafrica.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/DSC_0281-768x510.jpg 768w, https:\/\/consolataafrica.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/DSC_0281-1536x1020.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/consolataafrica.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/DSC_0281-2048x1360.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The oath of office took place at the Consolata Shrine in Westlands, Nairobi, during the annual Consolata Day celebrations, which were attended by a host of members of the congregation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regional superior took the oath of office alongside the vice regional superior, Rev Fr Zachariah Kariuki IMC, and other members of the regional council: Fr Ochieng Peter Ndelo IMC, Fr Musito Joseph Wabwoba IMC, and Fr Lee Dong Uk (Benigno) IMC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three of the aforementioned councillors retained their offices in the June appointment with Fr Lee replacing Fr Cantore Ottone as the new fourth councillor in the regional council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fr Makau previously worked as the Regional Superior of the Consolata Missionaries in Venezuela and has been the superior for the Kenya -Uganda region for three years since August 6, 2019.&nbsp; He comes from Masii Parish in the Catholic Diocese of Machakos.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rev Fr Peter Makau Munguti IMC, has been appointed for another three years as the Regional Superior for the Consolata Missionaries Kenya-Uganda Region on June 8, in a decree by the Superior General of the Consolata Mission Institute, Rev Fr Stefano Camerlengo, IMC, and subsequently took an oath of office on June 16.
